We are looking for Foundries experienced in making Phosphoric Cast Iron Brake Blocks to quote for Brake Blocks used in the UK train network. Only top class Foundries with good Quality Control facilities including Spectrometry will be considered. These Blocks have a steel insert and Clip cast into the block. The Foundry supplier will be responsible for getting inserts made to the relevent drawing and ensuring all metallurgical considerations are met. These parts are safety critical and a high degree of Quality Control together with first class traceability procedures is required. All Blocks require gauging to ensure the correct sizes are maintained. Deliveries will be in 24T loads to mainland UK.
