Khurd International
Our company was established in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, in 1997. Meanwhile, Mongolia is a country whose population is 2.8 million of which more than 65% lives in Ulaanbaatar City. Since its establishment we have been in the business of construction and international trade. There are 15 companies attached under our main company.
In detail, we have been in the construction business since 2002. So far we have built 650 apartments which totaled about 60, 000 square meters. This year, we are planning to build 40, 000 square meters of apartments. Besides building apartments we import products like vehicles, motorcycles, tires, batteries and milk, and sell them in domestic market through our 22 distribution centers over the country. We occupied 70% of tire market, 45% of battery market, and 50% of milk market. In 2006, our sales of tire, battery, motorcycle and milk productions reached up to US$10 000 000 (Ten million) when the total sale including apartments and all other productions was US$35 000 000. Currently, we are working as the official dealer of 20 international companies. We pay to the state budget approximately 4.6 billion tugriks or US$3, 980.000 for tax a year, and we took 26th, 27th, 20th, 16th and 23rd place among Top 100 Companies chosen by the Chamber of Trade and Industry of Mongolia in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 respectively. Since tourists from foreign countries such as Japan, America, German, Korea are coming more and more in recent years to enjoy with the real natural environments, hotel business becomes more attractive and profitable in Mongolia. Therefore, we decided to expand our business in tourism and decided to build 4 star hotel in the center of Ulaanbaatar City.
